Predicting the success of the supply chain dyadic relationship: A qualitative study of dyads

Our colleague Andrew Downard has published a paper in IIMB Management Review this month.

Predicting the success of a dyadic relationship during the very early stage is quite critical. The existing supply chain dyadic relationship (SCDR) measurement tool elements have limited capabilities at this point. Drawing on transaction cost economics and social exchange theory, his study finds that culture matching is perceived to be a key factor. Adding this element to the SCDR measurement helps managers to comprehend the importance of organisational culture and its critical role in predicting the dyadic relationship success.
